Who
would have thought that an annoying intervention by a freshman at a
university house party would turn into an amazing friendship.
Eleven years
on that friendship is being tested by a four year separation across two continents (and the Atlantic ocean). Pamela lives
in London, has recently got engaged and is planning her wedding while Neysela is embarking on an adventure in New York with her husband. To keep in touch they decided to blog about the
events in their lives - The New York/London Exchange - more
affectionately known as The NY:LON Exchange.
So what will we miss bout each other?
10 things I’ll miss about Pam
So what will we miss bout each other?
10 things I’ll miss about Pam
- Her hair, her smile, Nah just kidding!
- Being near my confidant.
- Being near someone who understands my thought process.
- Damn, being near someone who understands my crazy!
- Using my mobile’s free minutes to watch T.V. programs together.
- Going shopping with someone who has the same lack of patience as me (ladies too much time is spent searching, you need to be in and out!)
- Pam’s new season, new look motto (although admittedly she hasn’t done this in a while).
- Introducing her to people as my ‘Best Friend’ (She really hates it).
- Teasing her about being Scottish!
- She’d only just agreed to start going to museums with me again (I was banned after boring her with too much information).
- Being around to help plan her wedding.
- Someone to 'not' encourage me to buy clothes in Zara.
- Not having someone to watch xfactor with and moan about the contestants.
- Her creative vision to help plan the aesthetics of my wedding.
- Her candour whenever I need a truly honest and objective opinion
- Her reluctance to visit Las Iguanas even with 2 4 1 cocktails
- Trips to Colombia Road Flower Market
- The look she gives me when she's trying not be excited about a piece of news I've just given her.
- having to fight over who gets the last garlic prawns.
- I can't believe I'm saying this but her introducing me to everyone as 'her best friend Pam'.
- Anecdotes of her people rage.
